SURABAYA, Indonesia - Road Bike Philippines-Seven Eleven's Lloyd Lucien Reynante registered the best finish for a Filipino rider in the Tour de Indonesia 2009 as he placed second to Indonesian rider Nugroho Krisnato of Team D.J. Jogiakarta in the seventh lap of this 10-day race.

The son of former Tour Pilipinas champion Manuel Reynante and member of the national cycling team, Reynante traversed the 164-kilometer race from Madiun in three hours, 47 minutes and 29 seconds, just three seconds behind lap winner Krisnato.

Because of his effort, Reynante helped lift his Road Bike Philippines team up to eighth place from ninth in the overall team standings.

After seven stages, Reynante also climbed from 42nd place to 29th in the overall individual classification.

He became the third Pinoy rider to barge into the top 30 of the overall individual standings next to teammate Victor Espiritu who occupied 11th place and LPGMA Cycling Club’s Irish Valenzuela who stood a rung higher than Reynante at 28th.
